Congratulations |Associate Professor Zhang Peichang Achieves Outstanding Results in the4thGuangdong ProvincialTeaching Innovation Contest forHigher Education

From April 19thto 21st, the final round of the4thGuangdong Provincial Teaching Innovation Contest forHigher Educationwas successfully held atSouthernMedicalUniversity. This year's competition saw participation from 1,644 teachers (teams) representing 70 universities across Guangdong province. After the selection,2teachers (teams) from our college advanced to the provincial competition.

Associateprofessor Zhang Peichang, leading the teaching team (team members: Zhang Li, Cai Maoguo, Luo Jianping), won the‘ExcellenceAward’in the associate senior group for the course‘Microcomputer Technology’.

The National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, guided by the department of higher education of the ministry of education and hosted by the China association of higher education, has been successfully held for four editions. It is one of the two most influential teaching competitions for teachers nationwide. With the theme of "promoting teaching innovation, cultivating first-class talent," the competition aims to vigorously promote the spirit of educators and deeply advance the reform and innovation of higher education teaching. This year's competition saw participation from 1,644 teachers (teams) representing 70 undergraduate universities across Guangdong province at the school level. After selections, 426 teachers (teams) advanced to the provincial competition, including two teachers (teams) from our college.

Our college attaches great importance to enhancing teachers' teaching abilities, strengthening the central position of undergraduate talent cultivation, and implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. The National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers provides a platform for exchanging teaching experiences, showcasing teaching styles, improving teaching standards, and promoting teaching development. It creates a strong teaching culture atmosphere, better fulfilling the roles of "promoting teaching through competition, learning through competition, research through competition, construction through competition, and innovation through competition." This initiative aligns with the requirements for promoting high-quality development of higher education, and will play an important role in advancing higher education teaching innovation, enhancing teachers' professional development and teaching abilities, and fostering high-quality talent cultivation.
