Recently, the 17th "Challenge Cup" Guangdong College Student Business Plan Competition came to a successful conclusion. After intense competition, the "Spark of EdgeComputing Core" team from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at Shenzhen University stood out from numerous outstanding entries and won the Main Track Gold Award with their project: "Spark of EdgeComputing Core — World-Leading Edge AI Chip Development Technology Forging the 'China Core.'"

Project Name: Spark of EdgeComputing Core — World-Leading Edge AI Chip Development Technology Forging the China Core

Project Overview: Spark of EdgeComputing Core focuses on application-oriented high-performance edge AI chip development technology, dedicated to solving three major industry pain points: low inference computation efficiency in edge AI chips, excessive algorithm redundancy, and high power consumption leading to short battery life. The team has successfully developed three core innovative technologies: a self-developed accelerator IP that significantly boosts inference speed; lightweight algorithms that compress models by several times; and a low-power SoC design that reduces energy consumption while improving energy efficiency. The project results have passed rigorous field testing and verification by partner companies including Huawei, Xiaomi, and GAC Group, with all performance indicators reaching world-class standards.
