报告摘要:
The 5th generation (5G) wireless communication network is expected to achieve 1000 times of capacity and over 10 times of spectral efficiency, energy efficiency, and data rate, compared to the 4th generation (4G) wireless communication network. To meet these 5G requirements, we need a dramatic change in the design of cellular architecture and key technologies. In this talk, a new cellular architecture is proposed and some 5G technologies are briefly discussed, such as massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), three-dimensional (3D) MIMO, millimetre wave (mmWave) communications, and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. Realistic channel models with good accuracy-complexity tradeoff are indispensable for the design and performance evaluation of 5G wireless communication systems. This talk will also address a unified framework for 5G channel models considering various propagation scenarios, such as 3D extension, time evolution and spatial consistency (non-stationarity), massive MIMO, high-speed train, mmWave bands, and V2V scenarios.
