2022 IWRF&AT-SZU Successfully Held in Shenzhen
2022射频与天线技术国际学术研讨会在深圳成功举行
2022 International Workshop on Radio Frequency & Antenna Technologies in Shenzhen University (IWRF&AT-SZU）was held on July 2-3, 2022 in Shenzhen. The workshop’s general chair is Prof. Yejun He (Chair of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society-Shenzhen Chapter). This workshop was held for the fifth time in Shenzhen, China. The organizers of this workshop include IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society-Shenzhen Chapter, Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Antennas and Propagation, Guangdong Engineering Research Center of Base Station Antennas and Propagation, College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Shenzhen University.

The opening ceremony of the symposium was presided over by Professor Yejun He. Prof. Junfa Mao, the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the President of Shenzhen University, delivered a welcome speech. On behalf of the University, President Mao first warmly welcomed all academicians and speech experts, and introduced the development of Shenzhen University and the purpose, significance and influence of holding the International Workshop on Radio Frequency and Antenna Technologies. This workshop was conducted by means of online/in-person speech, and interaction in person.

Prof. Zhining Chen from National University of Singapore, Academician of Singapore Academy of Engineering （IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “Metantennas：Opportunity for Innovation!”:
Prof. Manos Tentzeris from Georgia Institute of Technology（IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “Inkjet-/3D-/4D-Printed ‘Zero-Power’ RFID-enabled Wireless Ultrabroadband Modules for IoT, SmartAg and Smart Cities Applications”:
Prof. Donglin Su from Behang University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made a keynote speech entitled “Electromagnetic Safety Issues in Microwave/Millimeter-Wave Systems: From Circuit to Electromagnetic Point-of-View”:
Prof. Tiejun Cui from Southeast University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences（IEEE Fellow）, made a keynote speech entitled “Information Metasurface Antennas and Systems”:
Prof. Wei Hong from Southeast University（IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “Recent Research Advances in Millimeter Wave and THz Circuits, Antennas and Systems”，
Prof. Quan Xue from South China University of Technology（IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “Research Progress on Reflect Array and Transmit Array”，
Prof. Xiu Yin Zhang from South China University of Technology（IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “Filtennas for Intelligent Vehicle Applications”，
Prof. Yi Huang from University of Liverpool（IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “Liquid Antennas for Wireless Communications”，
Prof. Junfa Mao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and President of Shenzhen University（IEEE Fellow）made a keynote speech entitled “From Integrated Circuits(IC) to Integrated Systems(IS)”.
The workshop was co-chaired by Prof. Wei Hong, Prof. Xiu Yin Zhang, Prof. Sai-Wai Wong, Dr. Long Zhang and Dr. Wenting Li. The workshop attracted experts and scholars from many universities, and representatives of ZTE, HUAWEI, CE-LINK, MOBI Antenna Technologies (Shenzhen) Ltd, CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd, and other enterprises.
The workshop has enhanced the extensive exchanges and cooperation between Shenzhen University and domestic and foreign experts and scholars in the areas of radio frequency, antenna, electromagnetism, wireless communication, integrated circuit, etc., which is conducive to the further improvement of the discipline level of information and communication engineering, electronic science and technology of Shenzhen University.
